I'm a sucker for a bit of organisation in my hand bag! Making sure things are altogether and are not easy for other to just stick their hands in and grab a few bits, it usually what i'm thinking when i pack my bag. After lugging around a rather large but gorgeous tapestry makeup bag from River Island (Which i loved and struggled to part with) i decided it was time for something a little smaller, where i could just carry what i need. On a specially crafty day i pulled out the fabric boxed and set to with the lovely Hello Kitty, Liberty London print fabric (Purchased from Etsy.com) and a neutral Linen for the contrast and the lining.
It is a nice, neat size and just in case your wondering the size it is approximately H15 cm x W16 cm x D8 cm. Pattern can be found in one of the Tilda Craft books along with introductions, i simply adapted the pattern to fit design.
Firstly i cant live without blotting sheet, what can i say by the afternoon i'm a greasy mess! The Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets have been amazing for concurring my shiny skin and are a bargain. I also always have these little set of Twin Star pill boxes i purchased from Ebay, link Here. All i carry in here is some paracetamol, some hungry pills (Which are Boot's own herbal tablets to control your metabolism and stop you feeling hungry, if you want to here more about these just let me know :))
Lastly some Fender Drummer Earplugs. I have these for when i go to Dan's band practice or some gigs, simply because i have pretty sensitive ears and they still allow you to hear everything really well; without damaging your ears. My favourite almond hand cream from The Body shop is always with me, in one of these handy little Body Shop sample pots.
I fell in love with this Lancome Hypnose Star Eye Palette in Khaki Chic its super handy. It's full of pretty colours and can create so many different looks from day tonight, i also liked the two brushes that came with it as they are useful. So, for on the go i tend to only keep the two brushes/applicators that come with this palette in my bag, unless i'm traveling ill add a few more. Sleeks Blush in Pixie Pink is the blush that's currently in my bag, i love the Sleek blushes their highly pigmented and the package is nice and petite.
Oo, i've realised i missed out my power! Well, i use No7 Pressed Powder, in Translucent. This is an all time favourite, i tend to keep one it my bag at all times and another at home in my makeup collection for when i do my morning makeup. To apply my powder i use The Body Shop's Extra Virgin Minerals powder brush, i enjoy using this brush and its so tiny and compact it fits nicely within my makeup bag. I usually always have a everyday natural lipstick, which currently is MAC's Creme Cup. Along with a more brighter lip colour, at the moment I've been loving the orange lip (Who hasn't!?) i tend to have Topshop's Firecracker or MAC's Morange, depending on how i'm feeling along with the Loreal Rouge Caresse lipstick in dating coral just to add a bit of a gloss or shine.
A recent purchase is Maxfactor's Masterpiece Liquid Liner in brown for touch ups through the day as using a brush and pot on the go can be a pain! Although i have this at the moment i'm not completely happy with the Maxfactor eyeliner, so if you have any recommendations please let me know :)
A mini No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara is handy, i love this because the brush has two different lengths which allows you to use it on your top and bottom lashes making sure you coat everaveloything. Lastly a Travelo which i'm sure we all know are great for traveling or on the go.
And that's everything, when i write about each item it seems like a lot; but really it isn't too much to carry just the mini essentials. What do you carry with you? Let me know if you've done a similar post, as i'm pretty nosey i would love a read!
