The Craft Cupboard : Pin Cushion Jar

My house is full of crafting goodness, every room has some form of sewing of crafting essential. My mam even owns a fabric shop full of wonderful fabrics of all kinds. If i was to be totally honest its getting a bit out of hand, i'd even say with the amount of fabric at home we could open a whole new business. Therefore because of all the above crafting and sewing is a big part of my life. I've wanted for a while to introduce it to my blog. So here we are, starting simple (mainly because it was super easy to picture!)

1. Separate your lid and cut your chosen fabric larger than the inner part of the lid.

2. Place your wadding in the middle of the lid and the fabric. The amount of wadding will depend on how thick/high you wish your pic cushion to sit when finished.

3. Next stitch the fabric together in a criss-cross  motion (this does not have to be neat, just secure) once stitch together cut a piece of felt in circle smaller than the lid. Then glue on the back of the lid to cover the stitching.

4. Using a hot glue gun (or any other type of glue, although a hot glue gun works well) on the inner side of the lid place a generous amount of glue. It would work best not to place it as close to the edge as possible in order to prevent glue from spilling on the out side and onto the fabric.

5. Then place the pin cushion onto the glue, keeping pressure on until stuck.

Wallaa! There you have your very own, very easy, pin cushion. A collection of these all different shapes and sizes would look real nice together filled with lots of crafty resources.
What do you think, is this something you would make?
