Homemade Jack Daniel Baileys

In all fairness i'm not the biggest drinker. I don't like the feeling of being drunk and for the most part not a big fan of the taste. Saying that when i do choose to have a small drink, i opt for something yummy and that doesn't have an overly 'alcoholy' taste. You must agree Baileys or Irish cream drinks are rather tasty and poured over plenty of ice, is quite the treat. Along with some Baileys i am a fan of Jack Daniels whisky, most people look at me funny when i ask for a JD and coke; but i'm a lover of that indescribable taste. So with a spare bottle of Jack Daniels i decided to put it to good use. If your not the biggest fan of Jack Daniels simply change the spirit, I'm sure there are many different concoctions that taste great.

This is a simple recipe and only requires a few ingredients. Although lovely it is sweet, so if you aren't a fan of overly sweet things alter some of the ingredients. You can always add more if needed. I found i preferred drinking this over a stack of ice, which i suppose diluted it slightly but i drink baileys the same way.
To make you will need the following ingredients:
  • 250ml single cream
  • 400ml sweetened condencsed milk
  • 300ml Jack Daniels
  • 1tbsp espresso/coffee
  • 2tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp almond extract

First of all made your espresso and leave to cool sort a short while. If you don't have espresso thats not an issue. Simply take a tea spoon or so of your favourite coffee and make enough for a strong table spoon solution. Leave to cool. Once cooled simply pop all the ingredients into a blender, and mix for around 30 seconds. And hey presto, a yummy drinkable treat; just in time for New Years Eve!
